Charity work
In 2008, Holly founded the tri-service rehabilitation charity Toe in the Water, using competitive sailing to re-inspire, reintegrate, and re-engage injured servicemen and women, achieving remarkable results.
In 2023, she established Stride Forward to address the significant support gap for individuals with limb loss and severe orthopaedic injuries. Stride Forward offers mentorship programs that help individuals find meaningful engagement in employment, volunteer work, hobbies, or sports, empowering them to lead enriched lives.

The charity promotes a strong community ethos, where mentees can celebrate successes and share experiences. Stride Forward provides diverse activities, courses, and adventures to help in acceptance and empowerment.

Holly integrates sailing into the rehabilitation process, helping individuals develop confidence and resilience, culminating in participation in Cowes Week, where her mentees race against able-bodied crews in non-adapted boats.
